MCHHS Student Success Innovation Projects (MSSIP)
Call for MCHHS Student Success Innovation Projects
Dear MCHHS Colleagues,
The McQueary College of Health and Human Services proudly announces a call for MCHHS Student Success Innovative Project (MSSIP) proposals! For this round, the college is allocating approximately $120,000 to faculty who generate bold, creative, and promising projects that bolster the success of our students.
PURPOSE
In the Fall of 2020, the University approved a $25 per credit hour fee for the majority of MCHHS undergraduate courses. A portion of that fee, approximately $240,000 for the 2021-2022 AY, will fund creative and innovative projects supporting undergraduate student success. The MSSIP Committee welcomes proposals for project initiation for Fall of 2023. These proposals are aimed for implementation in the Spring of 2024.
TYPES OF PROJECTS
Eligible MSSIP projects target improved undergraduate student success. Creative approaches and transformative ideas are encouraged! Project scope can range from within a particular classroom-to-University level impact, and projects may be submitted for single- or multi-year funding. Among the appropriate student outcomes targeted by MSSIP projects include:
- Recruitment and retention
- Student learning
- Students’ professional skill and career-related development
- Enhances experiences relevant to MSU’s public affairs mission.
- Enhanced interprofessional/cross-disciplinary experiences
FUNDING ELIGIBILITY
Submissions are being accepted from MCHHS staff, faculty/faculty teams, faculty with student contributors, and students with faculty advisors/sponsors.
APPLICATION TIMELINE AND REQUIREMENTS
Deadline for consideration is October 20 at 6pm for Fall 2023 semester. Applicants are asked to complete the MSSIP proposal application and budget forms for consideration. Criteria used by the MSSIP Committee to evaluate proposals and make recommendations for funding to the Dean can be found in the proposal application form.
Thank you and good luck!
